The historic town boasts over 300 hundred years of rich history alongside a modern perspective and regularly attracts ships from around the world to its natural harbour. Lerwick, the capital of the Shetland Islands, hosts the Tall Ships fleet for the third time in 2023. The city has a long shipping and maritime history and boasts the stunning Outer Oslo Fjord archipelago, the perfect surroundings for the Tall Ships fleet. The northeastern port town laid on a stunning four days of celebrations during our first visit and we can’t wait to return.įollowing three spectacular events, Fredrikstad will be hosting for the fourth time in 2023.

Hartlepool first hosted the Tall Ships fleet during The Tall Ships Races 2010 and will welcome the race series for the second time in 2023. We’re delighted to return to the Dutch coastal city with its rich maritime history and cultural heritage. The Race Committee will look at waypoint options to provide shorter and longer races for the fleet that will require a mixture of tactical skill and exhilarating speed to conquer.
